PRESSED STEEL HOOK

- *Shape and features: It’s a thin, stamped metal disc (concave/saucer-like profile) with a large **keyhole-shaped slot* (the elongated hole with a rounded end) and a smaller *circular hole* nearby.
- *Material: Pressed steel. The top one in the image is plain metallic grey (unheated or lightly used), while the bottom one shows **iridescent rainbow colouring* (yellow, orange, blue-green) from *heat tinting* — common when these parts get very hot from brake friction during use.
- *Design purpose*: The keyhole slot allows the brake calliper bracket, axle, or hub components to pass through or align during assembly. The small round hole is typically for a mounting bolt, alignment pin, or sensor wire.
